July 1975 saw SLADE once again in America, this time trying to plug FLAME, the LP soundtrack from the Movie, which had a limited release in the Mid West. One of the regular venues for the band to play while in San Francisco was Bill Graham's Winterland Arena. Most acts who played Winterland had their show filmed, the filmed gigs were then 'broadcast' at the venue in between acts.

It is from one such filmed gig that this set comes from.

Lifted from video tape this gig sees the band struggling to make inroads into a particularly hostile audience.

This was not SLADE at their best, they didn't sound or look as though they were enjoying the experience. Nice bit at the end though where Holder berates a heckler, after Lea can be heard shouting into the microphone 'Why don't you go and have a shit while we're on'.

Audio quality 8/10
